ACTEMRA® (tocilizumab) is a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection that you can take at home as a prefilled syringe (PFS)
- Your healthcare professional will train you, or your caregiver, on how to properly inject ACTEMRA PFS for subcutaneous (SC) use
- You or your caregiver should inject for the first time during a training session to get comfortable with the injection process
- All subsequent injections with the ACTEMRA PFS can be given at home by you or your caregiver
- If you are using ACTEMRA on your own, the appropriate injection sites are the front of your thigh and your abdomen, at least 2 inches from your navel. If a caregiver is administering the injection, the outer area of the upper arms may be used
- Subcutaneous injection with the prefilled ACTEMRA ACTPen® autoinjector has not been studied in SSc-ILD
